‘Tis the season of giving and that’s why the West Michigan Golf Show wants to give thanks to its loyal list of sponsors for the 25th edition of the Show to be held Feb. 8-10 in downtown Grand Rapids.
The Silver Anniversary of the Golf Show will feature both new and steadfast sponsors that help make the winter golf extravaganza a “must attend” event attracting over 12,000 golf enthusiasts.
Returning as a sponsor for the fourth consecutive year is Treetops Resort in Gaylord. It will again sponsor the highly popular Par-Three Challenge, the centerpiece of the show where patrons will tee it up and compete for closest to the pin prizes provided by Treetops and hope to make an ace on Sunday afternoon and earn $25,000. As always, consolation prizes include free rounds of golf at Treetops and other prizes.
A “new” sponsor of the 2013 Golf Show will be Pfeiffer Lincoln of Grand Rapids. The long time auto dealership was a sponsor for the inaugural Golf Show held in 1989. On the heels of the national launch of the new Lincoln Motor Company, Pfeiffer Lincoln will be sponsoring the Seminar Stage where headliners and teachers will be imparting expert swing advice and instruction. The West Michigan Golf Show is nationally known for hosting award-winning and acclaimed instructors and 2013 will be no exception with Pfeiffer Lincoln’s support.
Also returning as a sponsor after a brief respite is the Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey. The official casino of the Show, Odawa will be sponsoring the Longest Putt Contest where patrons may anchor their putters and compete for prizes while also raising funds for charity.
As the official out of state resort, Swan Lake Resort in Plymouth, Indiana returns as a sponsor to tout its popular Golf Academy, full-service hotel and 36 holes of golf, a great place to stop when it’s open in the spring than a little earlier than its northern neighbors.
The Golf Association of Michigan (GAM), a loyal exhibitor for the past 25 straight years, also returns as a sponsor representing nearly 60,000 amateur golfers in the state. Once again, show patrons can sign up for a GAM membership, which includes the popular Swing & Save Gold Card offering great value for green fees at Michigan's top courses.
Boyne Resorts and the Michigan P.G.A. will be providing free golf lessons all weekend at DeVos Place. Golfers with creaky swings will receive pre-season tune-ups from PGA golf professionals.
Located in nearby Caledonia, US Golf Cars will be the official exhibitor party sponsor. A leader in new and pre-owned golf cars, US Golf Cars has been a supporter of the Show for many years.
Held continuously since 1989, the West Michigan Golf Show will attract thousands of Michigan golfers to hundreds of exhibits and will feature clinics, putting contests, junior golf instruction, swing analyzers and an unbeatable golf shopping opportunity. As always, several charities will benefit from their involvement with the show.
