Construction is underway on Lyon Square to create a public plaza along the Grand River between DeVos Place and Amway Grand Plaza Hotel. This plaza is set to be transformed into a vibrant gathering spot with new lighting, greenspace and seating. Project is led by Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and construction is led by Pioneer Construction & Rockford Construction.
The Lyon Street/Square construction project continues to
move forward. Completion date has been extended due to unforeseen circumstances
and is now projected for late fall 2025.
*Please note the Lyon Street entrance to the parking garage underneath DeVos Place is currently closed.
