AGRLP Members come together to create this giant garden and will be there all weekend to answer your questions -- a terrific resource for all of your landscaping needs! Flowers may be designed to attract and interact with many general or one specific pollinator. If a plant can ONLY be pollinated by a single pollinator, there is no margin for error when it comes to attractiveness! Join Dr. Robert Geneve in a scientific look at how flowers signal, lure or “trick” pollinators into their nectar-filled lairs. Some even have moving parts and, if you look closely, you can see the “magic” in those flowers! The Garden to Table Stage Here, we celebrate a "growing" interest in the community: No longer are we happy just growing pretty gardens ... now we want our gardens to produce food that we can put on the table! Join Home and Garden Show favorite Chef Angus Campbell as he teaches you to make delicious, satisfying, and healthy comfort food. DTE Grilling Deck Fire things up with local chef Tommy FitzGerald on the DTE Grilling Deck. SHOP in the Garden and Art Market This year's market is overflowing and bursting out the front doors! Come shop the colorful booths -- you'll find dozens of wonderful small businesses, including local artists and crafters, plants and garden accessories from the finest local nurseries, and artisan foods. It’s shopping at its best and a fun way to take a little of the Home & Garden Show home with you! The 4th Annual Plant Sale Sunday 4pm – 6pm As the weekend comes to a close, you'll want something to tide you over until next year's show -- so take some of those beautiful plants home with you! Enjoy free admission starting at 4pm on Sunday, and visit our landscapers to purchase the beautiful plants that make up their gardens! These gorgeous plants will brighten your home as you count the days to Spring! uBloom Flower Power- Local Celebrity Design Challenge! Don't miss this hilarious live competition, Friday at 6pm on the Home Stage, hosted byCatherine Behrendt, Rick Vuyst, and J Schwanke. Be here to cheer for your favorite Local Celebrities, including Shelley Irwin, Angela Cunningham, Michelle McCormick, and others -- as they race to complete a floral arrangement, live on stage! The winner gets bragging rights, and their local charity of choice receives $500. The GRFD Fire Safety House A fun, interactive, and educational part of the show! Designed for teaching children critical safety techniques, the Smoke House is a must-visit display for adults, too. The Grand Rapids Fire Department travels around the area with the Smoke House to teach children about fire hazards and prevention as well as survival stratagies. Stop by this important display with your children and grandchildren. Michigan Floral Association Michigan’s official trade organization for florists returns to dazzle your eyes, and your nose, with spectacular arrangements by the industry’s most talented designers. Located at the west end of the Grand Gallery, giant floral designs are blooming all weekend, and Friday enjoy an ‘iron-chef’ style competition that will put several talented designers in a 1 hour design on the fly contest.
